{"id":1490,"date":"2020-01-02T18:55:48","date_gmt":"2020-01-02T23:55:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.parkmuseum.info\/?p=1490"},"modified":"2020-01-02T18:55:48","modified_gmt":"2020-01-02T23:55:48","slug":"museum-to-host-third-winterlong-exhibit-honouring-the-prognostication-pad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.parkmuseum.info\/?p=1490","title":{"rendered":"Museum to host third Winterlong exhibit honouring the Prognostication Pad"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" src=\"http:\/\/www.parkmuseum.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Prognostication-Pad-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1493\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.parkmuseum.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Prognostication-Pad-300x300.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.parkmuseum.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Prognostication-Pad-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.parkmuseum.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Prognostication-Pad-768x768.jpg 768w, http:\/\/www.parkmuseum.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Prognostication-Pad.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In celebration&nbsp;of over fifteen years of elected prognosticators in The Park,&nbsp;The Board of Governors of The Park Museum is pleased to announce the relaunch of &nbsp;\u201cThe Means and the Message: A Decade of Prognostication Pads.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This multimedia exhibit&nbsp;honours not only those who have been elected&nbsp;Park Official Prognosticator of Spring (POPS), but the means that they have used to make their predictions: the prognostication pad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Winterlong exhibit will showcase the evolution of the prognostication pad throughout the past decade, putting the pad in historical context, and demonstrating the way in which its use has changed the office and duties of the prognosticator as well as&nbsp;the way in which spectators view the prediction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Included in the exhibit will be pad architects&#8217; blueprints, messages, notes, and&nbsp;correspondence, press interviews with&nbsp;Chief organizer Wyatt Whistlepig, Jr., and videotaped interviews with former prognosticators.
