{"id":1081,"date":"2018-11-06T11:28:48","date_gmt":"2018-11-06T16:28:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.parkmuseum.info\/?p=1081"},"modified":"2019-06-18T12:10:15","modified_gmt":"2019-06-18T17:10:15","slug":"museum-to-re-launch-exhibit-to-honour-fifteenth-elected-pops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.parkmuseum.info\/?p=1081","title":{"rendered":"Museum to re-launch exhibit to honour fifteenth elected POPS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.parkmuseum.info\/?attachment_id=1082\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-862\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1082 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.parkmuseum.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Prognostication-Pad-300x300.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.parkmuseum.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Prognostication-Pad-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.parkmuseum.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Prognostication-Pad-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.parkmuseum.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Prognostication-Pad-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.parkmuseum.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Prognostication-Pad.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>To mark the election of the fifteenth Park Official Prognosticator of Spring (POPS), The Board of Governors of The Park Museum is pleased to announce its relaunch of the exhibit,\u00a0\u201cThe Means and the Message: A Decade of Prognostication Pads.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This multimedia exhibit honours\u00a0not only those who have been elected\u00a0Park Official Prognosticator of Spring (POPS), but the means that they have used to make their predictions: the prognostication pad.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibit will showcase the evolution of the prognostication pad throughout the past decade, putting the pad in historical context, and demonstrating the way in which its use has changed the office and duties of the prognosticator as well as\u00a0the way in which spectators view the prediction.<\/p>\n<p>Included in the exhibit are\u00a0pad architects&#8217; blueprints, messages, notes, and\u00a0correspondence, press interviews with\u00a0Chief organizer Wyatt Whistlepig, Jr., and videotaped interviews with former prognosticators.
